The crux of this film lies in the alienated states of both characters. Santiago is a working class immigrant who is cooking breakfast at a time he is missing his father and home. Sam is a disillusioned slacker who just wants him to stop so he can go to sleep.
Misunderstandings are the lifeblood of rifts between people. Santiago sees a reason to wake up while Jacob does not. By scratching the surface of this highly situational domestic story, we shed light onto lives both invisible and downtrodden in this nocturnal meditation on urban isolation.
You might have caught him on FBI, Gotham, Law & Order SVU, Shades of Blue, Boardwalk Empire and a number of other shows. Next up you’ll be able to see him on Jonathan Nola and Lisa Joy’s upcoming series for Amazon Studios.
As a SAG Award nominee and a fixture in the indie film scene, he starred in the critically-acclaimed horror feature An Unquiet Grave (SHUDDER) and can be seen in Anthony Arkin’s sci-fi thriller Sender (Amazon).
Fé Torres as Santiago
For the last 14 years, Fé Torres performed in several NY festivals such as The Fringe, Figment NYC and The Internationalists, as well as NYC stages such as The Cherry Lane Theatre, The Hudson Guild and The Roy Arias Theatre.
He recently played the role of “The Devil” in The Devil and the Playwright at Theatre for the New City, Jess, the Warhol fan obsessed “Tour Guide,” in Bated Breath’s latest production of Chasing Andy Warhol as well as “Alphonse Toulouse- Lautrec” in Voyeur: The Windows of Toulouse- Lautrec.
